Product data is handled differently across apps and platforms. Local document processing and game saves are separate from the technical information used by hosting and advertising services.

1. About this policy

Nemitek (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is the developer and provider of the products described here. This policy covers nemitek.com and Neural Focus Engine, SpeedReader X, Basic Math, and Sixteen Tons, including their web and native app versions where available.

This policy describes data handled by these products and the third-party services identified below. Other Nemitek services may have separate privacy policies. You can contact us about this policy or any of the covered products at support@nemitek.com.

2. Your data in our products

Neural Focus Engine

Audio is synthesized on your device. The sound controls you select are used to create your audio session. The app does not require an account and does not send your audio session to Nemitek for processing.

SpeedReader X

Documents you choose to import, including supported PDF, DOCX, and text files, are parsed and displayed on your device. Imported document content is not uploaded to a Nemitek server for reading or conversion. Preferences and reading state, where saved by the app, are stored in your browser or app storage. The app does not require an account.

Basic Math

Practice settings, missed questions, and top-speed records are stored locally in your browser. They are used to personalize practice and revisit missed questions. The app does not require an account or send those practice records to a Nemitek server. Its web version requests fonts from Google Fonts, as described below.

Sixteen Tons

Game progress, settings, and local upgrade state are stored on your device. The game does not require a Nemitek account or upload your game save to Nemitek as part of its ordinary gameplay. Native mobile versions integrate Google AdMob for advertising. The web and desktop versions use in-game promotional content instead of the native AdMob SDK. The web version also loads an icon stylesheet from the cdnjs service, as described below.

Browser and operating-system features, such as device backups or synchronization, are governed by their own settings and providers. Local storage can be lost when you clear app or browser data, reset a device, or uninstall an app.

3. Website and support information

Website delivery

When you visit this website or a product’s web address, the hosting infrastructure receives technical information needed to deliver the page, such as your IP address, requested URL, browser information, and the time of the request. This information may be processed in operational or security logs to deliver the service, diagnose problems, and prevent abuse.

The Nemitek corporate website does not use advertising cookies, a contact-form submission service, or a third-party analytics SDK. Its styles, navigation script, graphics, and fonts are delivered locally or provided by your device.

Contacting support

If you email us, we receive your email address, the contents of your message, and any information or attachments you choose to include. We use this information to answer your question, investigate a reported problem, or respond to a privacy request. Email and hosting service providers process information as needed to deliver and operate these services. We do not use support correspondence for unsolicited marketing.

4. Third-party services

Google AdMob in Sixteen Tons

Native mobile versions of Sixteen Tons use Google’s Mobile Ads SDK to load and display banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads. Depending on the platform, device settings, and SDK configuration, Google may collect and share IP addresses, approximate location derived from IP addresses, app and advertising interactions, diagnostic information, and device or account identifiers, including advertising identifiers.

Google uses this information for ad delivery, measurement, analytics, and fraud prevention. Data sent by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit. Advertising-related processing is separate from the game progress stored locally on your device. For details, see Google’s privacy policy and Google’s Mobile Ads data disclosures.

Font and icon delivery

The Basic Math web app loads fonts from Google Fonts. The Sixteen Tons web app loads an icon stylesheet from cdnjs, a CDN operated by Cloudflare. Requests to these services disclose standard connection information, including your IP address and browser request information, so the resource can be delivered. They do not receive your imported documents, math practice records, or game saves through these resource requests.

For more information, see Google Fonts privacy information and Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Platform providers

If you obtain an app through Google Play or the Apple App Store, the platform provider handles the information associated with your store account, downloads, and platform services under its own policies. This policy does not replace those policies.

5. How information is used and shared

We use information for the purposes described above: operating the products and website, storing your local settings and progress, answering support requests, maintaining security, and, where applicable, displaying and measuring ads.

Nemitek does not sell your imported documents, local practice records, or game saves. Third-party advertising services can process and share advertising-related information as described in this policy; this is separate from local product data.

Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with a legal obligation, respond to a lawful request, protect people or our services, or in connection with a business transfer subject to applicable privacy requirements.

6. Retention and security

Local product data remains in your browser or app storage until you remove it, the product replaces it, or your browser or operating system clears it. We do not control your device’s backup retention.

We retain support correspondence and privacy requests as needed to resolve your request and maintain necessary service records. Operational information is retained as needed for service reliability, security, and applicable obligations. Third-party providers retain the information they process according to their own policies and applicable settings.

Our public websites use HTTPS to protect information in transit. Access to support correspondence and operational systems is limited to people and providers who need it to operate the service. No method of storage or transmission can guarantee absolute security.

7. Your choices and deletion

  • Local product data: use your browser’s site-data controls to clear a product’s saved data, or your device’s app-data controls to clear native app storage. Uninstalling an app generally removes its local app storage; separately retained backups or exported files may need to be removed through their own controls.
  • Advertising information: your device and Google account settings provide controls for advertising identifiers and ad personalization. These controls may limit particular advertising uses without stopping all processing needed to deliver or secure ads.
  • Support and privacy requests: email support@nemitek.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information held by Nemitek. Include the relevant product and enough information for us to identify your request.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal information, request portability, or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. You may also contact your local data-protection authority. We respond to requests in accordance with applicable law and may need to verify your request. Information required for legal, security, or recordkeeping obligations may need to be retained.

The products covered here do not require a Nemitek account. There is therefore no Nemitek account to delete for their ordinary use. We cannot retrieve or erase a file or save held only on your device; the local deletion controls above are the appropriate way to remove it.

8. Children’s privacy

Basic Math can be used for arithmetic practice by children. It does not require an account, include an advertising SDK, or transmit practice records to Nemitek. Its web version uses Google Fonts, which receives the technical resource requests described above.

Nemitek does not ask children to provide personal information to use the covered products. A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent personal information to us through support can contact support@nemitek.com to request its deletion, subject to applicable obligations. Sixteen Tons’ native advertising behavior is described separately above; this policy does not characterize every product as child-directed or advertising-free.

9. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when a product, service, or data-handling practice changes. The date at the top identifies the current version. We will provide additional notice when required by applicable law.
